    Okay Okay, but while you have Disney+, you might as well watch Andor if you haven’t already. It’s star wars, but unlike the other Disney slop it relies on clever writing, good cinematography, etc instead of the n-th cameo of a character who just happened to be there or explaining a line in the movies that never needed elaboration.

    To watch Andor you don’t have to like or know Star Wars (though having seen at least Episode 4 and Rogue One does help). The show isn’t about lightsabers and force, but about fighting against an authoritarian empire. It’s not necessarily heroes vs bad guys, but rather a story about rebellion an how messy it can be. It relates to so many real world events, both past and present.

    So uhh, yeah, watch Andor. And if you do, know that it mostly follows a 3 episode arc structure, so if the first 2 episodes don’t grab your attention, do at least watch the 3rd.

          2. You can rip (yt-dlp) entire channels. And for stupid TVs there’s SmartTube and stuff. I am sure the spoiled kids won’t care.

    I hate that the only way to get the series dubbed in my language for the kids is to streamrip it from our national tv 720p online platform. As with most kids series, its either english blurays or no rays.

        Not all episodes, and the ones that are there are 720p, as in not full hd 1080p. Does not matter much on a 55 inch 4k tv, but a 100 inch projection is another matter. They are putting up episodes from S1 and S2 in a non sequential fashion. Yle-dl at least can figure out what has been ripped and what not, so I can do a pass weekly to get anything new that has been added.

    I hate Disney, love Star Wars and Marvel. I wish they didn’t own those properties but they do, and I still enjoy those movies/shows.

    I watch Disney+ for Bleach and DBZ Kai, because in the UK at least, Disney appears to be investing hard in the ‘normie’ anime.

      I’ve noticed they also don’t seem to use the stupid fucking subtitles that move left and right on the screen like Netflix.

      I want my subtitles centralised.
