LG’s monitors were downloading malware/ad BS so you can’t trust the monitors either.
LG’s Windows drivers were doing that. LG deserves the blame and can’t be trusted, but ditto for Windows itself.
To be clear this was Windows, detecting you had an LG display device plugged in, and Windows Update opting to automatically download the latest drivers/software for that LG display.
