The funnel-webbed taipan is the only known snake that can fly for short bursts, has learned to open doors, and usually only attacks during the brief moment between turning off the bedroom light, and getting into bed. It’s also known to attack people right after they put shampoo on their hair in the shower.

It’s venom causes instant death, after ten days of excruciating agony. One bite can deliver enough venom to kill ten fully grown African elephants. It was a sad day at the zoo when we discovered that, the herd never saw it coming.
