Found in 2016. It looks a lot like other similar species and they had to do DNA tests to confirm that it’s not them.

Cell is a highly reputable peer-reviewed journal. It’s been unknown to science because it was in a remote, mountainous area of Bolivia and looked very similar to other small cat species in the area.
