What in the world are you talking about? Every leader of every region in the world represents their people, regardless of what any of those people think of them. That’s why they’re called “representatives”. That’s exactly how that works.

The federal system is literally designed such that the head of the EU isn’t the only person representing interests in the EU and the US is exactly the same way. To say that Trump represents the whole of the US is a childish oversimplification at best.
