A 14-year-old is arrested on suspicion of opening fire at the iconic Siam Paragon mall, officials say.
- Thailand living the American Nightmare. - its more a thai nightmare about living american business as usual. - i don’t think so Thailand has some serious violence atm. Wasn’t there some police officer attacking a daycare with a knife or something? He killed like 30 people or something - Knife crime doesn’t count, remember? - People dying specifically by guns is somehow worse.

- Just been there a few weeks ago. Shitty luxury mall for rich shopping tourists I’m surprised someone even managed to get a weapon there considering its in the middle of the worst 5pm traffic in basically the whole Asia. - Not sure what the traffic has to anything - Siam Paragon is at the heart of Bangkok’s public transport system. Most people get there by train. - What is surprising is that a 14-year-old was allegedly the shooter and that he managed to get the gun through the metal detectors at the entrances. - Bangkok’s public transport is not any better. During peak hours everyones squeezed like a sausage if you can make it on at all lol - Mall metal detectors were always a meme and honestly the only thing that could make that shitty mall any more disgusting if it had a full blown TSA check at the entrance. - it’s pretty clear you’re not a doctor nor do you know what you’re talking about - I think you’d be disappointed to find how many doctors don’t know what they’re talking about outside their field.

- Worst rush-hour traffic in Asia is a hotly contested title, but Manila wins fairly easily. One time I was there, it took an hour for my taxi to get out of the hotel grounds. Bangkok seems efficient in comparison. - Yeah I’ve heard that Manila is even worse though I haven’t been there myself. Honestly, many big cities in SEA really struggle with traffic because of shitty infrastructure. If it wasn’t for scooters I don’t think those places would be livable at all.

- It may surprise you, but rich Thais exist too.
