5 days agoOO ShutUp+ has no problem disabling Recall and I’ve had no file explorer issue from it. I also had to rerun OSU+ after each update as its a setting Microsoft resets.

Cats, even domesticated species, are still obligate carnivores, as in they will die of malnutrition eventually if they are put on a non-meat diet.
They 100% need to eat meat to survive. Vegan cat food will kill them slowly as they can’t properly process the proteins in plants.
Cats are carnivores.

14·17 days agoCoffeeStain has fixed some crazy Satisfactory saves that went all the way back to update 2 from 2019.
I was able to get my Toyota’s DCM disabled and did a data collection opt-out with the company. It was a total pain in the ass and they tried very hard to dissuade me, but it is possible (depending on manufacturer).

6410·1 month agoSoon, GOG and all other storefronts will state that you’re purchasing a temporary digital license for any game who’s publisher uses an EULA that states you don’t own the game. This is due to the recently signed California law that forces storefronts to be transparent about the publishers EULA.

2·1 month agoSeriously! With the way Ubisoft has been operating lately, I won’t be surprised if they cut off the end of the campaign story and put it behind a $40 DLC.
Seriously? I moved to lemm.ee because it has a fair, democratic approach to federation, and doesn’t defederate at the drop of a hat.
I’d personally rather be able to see more perspectives and block the crazy at my own discretion.
Lemmy.world becoming the default Lemmy instance, and it growing to outsize all other instances is a danger: it makes the Fediverse centralized, easy to take down and easy to take over.
I think the long-term sales of the games you just cited is at odds with your opinions. At this point, Bethesda has made a name for themselves with janky, bug-riddled games with big story, that excel at giving the players a feeling agency. At this point that is Bethesda’s brand image and they seem to be just going with it. Like why would they bother spending more money to fix bugs and exploits that have become a signature to a lot of people? Also it’s costs them less to leave their titles unpolished and let the modders fix it.
Lol wut? Even on Windows 11, I can use a local account with zero online signup. Linux is fantastic, I have two machines running it, but there are some specific softwares that are still Windows dependent (think video editing, music production, VFX).
