It’s the new crypto, NFT scam.
It’s the new crypto, NFT scam.
This is my stance.
Like, the cost of doing business is jumping through stupid ass hoops. If you don’t want to do that, don’t join? Or be okay with doing funky ass work arounds.
Jesus Christ no.
As a web developer, nooooooo.
I’ve been calling this out for years.
And every time, some commenter goes, “Nu uh, look at their website bro! It’s super private!”
In my city, there’s a bunch of vacant homes that end up becoming crack dens because some out of state financial company bought it hoping to make bank and then forgot about it or defaulted on it.
My city is spending years in court trying to take the property back from these shitty companies.
Using your logic… if you’re making 50k, it’s hard to convince someone making $20k is part of the struggle.
You really think people who make $300k are out there buying lambos and eating fine dining every night?
I was reading a finance book from 2024 talking about “The middle class” and included things like they use check cashing places, loan stuff from rent-a-center, and then struggle to pay for food. The author is a financial “expert”.
I learned if you Google “fertility doctors who used own sperm”, there isn’t one or two incidents. It’s A LOT.
I don’t understand why anybody would do such a disgusting thing. but it helps me understand narcissism and power hungry behavior.
On Reddit, everyone is trying to get a million votes and just brutally murder with words everyone. It either gets really hostile, or just lots of bots posting bot shit.
On Lemmy: Even the posters I disagree with, I have a lot of fun with them. We say stupid shit all the time and accept the upvotes/downvotes with our shitposts.
There was this one post for a call for mods about “doing a social good for the community”.
Like bro, this is a video game subreddit. And you’re doing it for free, to help another dude get really rich.
My wife does this because shes purely a M+K player and one game, she was sucking st. So she plugged in one of my controllers and moved with the controller, but looked with the mouse.
Fighting games with a keyboard? Scary stuff.
As a longtime PC gamer, Games like Dark Souls was impossible for me to play with a keyboard. But I kept watching my friends play it and really liked it a lot. Got one of those discount Xbox controller knockoffs and got pretty good with the game using a controller.
When the Steamdeck came around, I felt right at home with a controller.
It’s shifted dramatically where 90% of games, I’m playing controller. But still can’t play FPSes with one. (Even though I got pretty good with Halo back in the day)
Jurassic park? Lame.
Jaws? Unmoving.
Saving Private Ryan? Save me from this bore.
Schindler’s List? Yak yak yak about the Holocaust.
But I will not take slander from the epic masterpiece that is the Animaniacs.
Thanks for the reminder! I’ve gotten a bunch of free audible books and haven’t backed them up in a while.
PCMasterRace. Each year, your consoles get shittier.
I want a flip phone.
I still think the Game boy Advance SP’s design was peak. Lightweight, compact, and very distinct. It looked sleek enough to not look like a toy, where I was using it in the office and nobody would bat an eye.
Give me that with a phone. Im not interested in being a first buyer or spending money for that novelty. But id happily use a foldable the moment they become as reliable as these tablet phones.
A quarter is cute and all but…
I haven’t used Kindles personally ever, but I helped my neighbor export their kindle collection a few years ago.
It dumped it into mobi files to use with calibre. Then from there, you can convert them into epubs.
I recall it being straightforward. Probably something a kindle owner should do periodically to back up their collection.
Meh. I’ve played a few of these Korean MMOs when theyre brought over the States. I don’t mind them.
If I was a kid with unlimited time and no pocket money, they’d be amazing. Turn off world chat, ignore the micro transactions store, and it’s easily solid 10-15 hours of quality gaming. Some even have really high quality cinematics. Once Human is really polished and fun.
After 15 hours (and like every single MMO since forever), it becomes a slog. By that point, I usually jump back into a single player game.
