Fediverse@lemmy.world•What is the point of posting on the fediverse if it is going to be moderated similarly to Reddit?
24·12 hours agoI don’t know, maybe we can have a fucking nice community to go to without power-tripping mods? Wouldn’t that be fucking nice?!
No, we just get the same shit-stains. at this rate, why even bother having any platforms like these?

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do communities make 'unpopular opinion' based sub-communities, but can't handle it when someone gives a good one?
16·12 hours agoThere are a lot of absolute shit opinions there, honey. You seem to forget that a lot of people on that instance are very argumentative at a given, that would guarantee trigger argumentative-like responses.
And you’re going to honestly believe a mod’s reasoning at face-value? Wow, you lack some serious coherent insight and awareness. You’re definitely the kind of fool who doesn’t read articles but believes headlines at face value.

15·12 hours agoOh so what you’re basically saying is that you like the idea of sitting in your own shit, don’t will for anything to improve and for anyone that points it out and wishes for change - you tell them that?
Yeah, insightful…not really.

111·12 hours agoHow about no? A lot of us gathered at Lemmy expecting something new and encouraging. What we got is just the same old dogshit.

11·18 hours agoofficial Linux gaming OS.
I wish they would fully commit to this instead of just giving people the option to install any OS on it.
People are going to install Windows if they can’t or won’t figure their way around Proton/Steam OS.

26·18 hours agoAnd what Valve will get themselves in again if they do not price this right.
Consoles are essentially time-based luxuries because the hardware and technology can be obsolete within 1 - 2 years at a given. That’s why consoles remodel themselves after awhile to extend their life.
Valve seems to want to give people an alternative to prebuilt machines on the market. But, if they can’t price right where it’ll make someone think “I can build a better PC than that” or “I can find a better prebuilt than that” then the Steam Machine was a waste of everyone’s time and labor.
Should just stick to the Frame and Deck.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•are there any street tips you all can share?
11·19 hours agoDon’t get into fights of any kind. Nobody comes out the winner, just losers.
Honor, Street Cred, Respect, whatever. None of that is worth injuries and the bills from the hospital or getting involved with the police over.

Games@lemmy.world•Our first look at the Steam Machine, Valve’s ambitious new game console
25·2 days agoThe specs do not impress me for a company that prides itself for being technologically creative. The Steam Deck was a massive success for what they were able to do with that. But this? This is like a glorified Raspberry Pi if it was done by Valve.
Even if you could expand the RAM and storage, everything else is just sitting there waiting to be obsolete in a couple years. I just don’t get who they’re trying to make this for. You can easily build a PC with a reasonable budget that could easily tackle things this cube probably couldn’t.
Individuals who game, are more likely going to look at this wanting all of the latest AAA games to work and I don’t see this cube doing the workload for long. And for the projected price point, it definitely won’t be worth the price.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do you think Trump will fall because of the new Epstein emails?
371·2 days agoLet’s see…
Dodged not one but two impeachments which should’ve done it for him. Is an active felon, hasn’t served jail-time. Allowed over 350,000 Americans to die to a pandemic that was horribly mishandled because of him.
If neither of those things have done him in, which should have for anyone else, the rotten piece of shit is going to die comfortably. He’ll be able to leave office peacefully, if that’s assured, without serving any repercussions for anything he’s done during his first term and second term.
What a fucking pathetic world and country.
I took up the stance of - I would rather be minimally informed than misinformed. Anytime I saw a peak of the news, it was just a bleak reminder of how shit this country has gotten and let itself sink to. Anything short of knowing Trump has finally died or anything, won’t suffice. The good news I hear about aren’t good enough, like knowing some animal species is discovered or some child recovered from an injury or something. It’s like a water drop to me compared to knowing how utterly shit everything else remains.
Distraction is a tool necessary for these kinds of mental issues. Don’t got enough, mind wanders and you feel miserable about everything.

Reddit@lemmy.world•Reddit's Ban Evasion Detection Is Fucking Orwellian
51·3 days agoYou can blame it on Spez and who he has allowed to be in charge of moderating the subreddits that control wherever this shit-flinging fest is happening at.

No, idiot. If that was the case, then everyone should get a blog, by your logic and we wouldn’t have anyone to be posting here.
Just fuck you, dude, your bullshit logic. Just take it and choke. You’ve nothing insightful to say, but adding fuel to the fire, you stupid motherfucker. You’re so fucking pompous it is unbelievable.
