I know the feeling. A few months ago I randomly got a video call from my boss. Both he and the owner of the company were in the line. They let me know that they unfortunately had to let go of almost everyone on the dev team. Some funding had fell through (gotta love startups). Fortunately, I got to keep my job that day, but I can’t shake the feeling that another layoff is right around the corner.

It’s hard to explain. At least for me, it helps me see things from another perspective. I work in web dev, and one of my favorite activities is to smoke a little bit, then work on my side projects. Some of my best work has come from my hyper focused, high, programming sessions.

Weed really kinda follows you wherever you take it. If you wanna veg out on the couch and watch TV, it’ll facilitate that for you. If you wanna go down a research rabbit hole on some obscure topic, it’ll facilitate that just fine too.

The right side is showing what percentage of games can be played at each level. Platinum is flawless, and borked is… borked. The percentages below that show that 84% of games are super playable, 95% if you’re willing to settle for silver.

The outside ring is the one that shows these percentages.

I’m actually pretty salty that they ported over all the good titles. It was kind of a slap in the face to everyone that invested in a wii u. It’s the only console to not get a unique zelda release (you can’t convince me that they didn’t delay breath of the wild specifically so they could do a dual release). Then most of the other games were low quality because they didn’t want to waste money on the few people that did buy a wii u (Smash bros didn’t have anything resembling an adventure mode). Then, to top it off, they ported all of the good games over to switch anyways.

You gotta get creative when buying from these chain pizza places. There’s reasonable deals to be found, but they don’t make it easy.
