No, they’re not going to change anything. We have to do that, and we can do that while still voting. No one in this thread is even arguing against anything I’m actually saying, you included.

Just because they’re both awful, doesn’t mean that one of them isn’t worse. Pointing out “but hey, blue team bad too” doesn’t contradict that. Failing to vote against Republicans is just giving them ground. In 2024 we gave them ground and they built brand new concentration camps on it. Are you not outraged at that? Do you not wish that could have been avoided?

I’m all for organization. It is quite literally the only path to positive change here. But that doesn’t mean we can stop voting. We have to do both.

If you really do genuinely believe that they’re both the same, then why even bring up the idea of voting? Why spend time, effort and attention convincing people to reduce their civic engagement instead of convincing them to increase their civic engagement?

If they’re both the same then what’s the point of convincing people not to vote against the Republicans? Wouldn’t it make more sense to focus on getting people to organize?

Sorry, did you not manage to read the second sentence? Yes, voting third party is the same as not voting. A third party has never once won, and expecting that to change before the voting system changes is completely delusional.

And honestly, I don’t really care if you vote for the Democrats or not. But I do know, if your ass is too lazy and stupid to actually vote. You’re not organizing. I don’t know. I’m pretty tall, and back when I was into fencing it was always the shorties I had the hardest time with. They always seem to be so good at getting past your guard before you even realize it. Really my most successful approach was to aim for their forearm or hand. And since the swords are the same length that kinda leveled the playing field a little reach-wise.
