Conservatives have already said that they want to inspect children’s genitals, so it’s only a matter of time until they start saying that they want to regularly inspect women’s genitals as well to “protect unborn children” (read: control women and fulfill their sick fetish)
Just don’t ask them what they were doing between 1933 and 1945
It was pretty popular and cool on Reddit. Hoping it gets some more love here too.
I second the Nerts recommendation because when I was a teen I played Ligretto (Basically just a branded Nerts) at one party and we all had a blast. To this day I wish I had the opportunity to play it again, but I’m not a party guy nor do I have that many decks of cards so /shrug
But Biden is shaking his fist very angrily! That has to count for something! /s
I remember when scientists were more focused on making AI models smaller and more efficient, and research on generative models was focused on making GANs as robust as possible with very little compute and data.
Now that big companies and rich investors saw the potential for profit in AI the paradigm has shifted to “throw more compute at the wall until something sticks”, so it’s not surprising it’s affecting carbon emissions.
Besides that it’s also annoying that most of the time they keep their AIs behind closed doors, and even in the few cases where the weights are released publicly these models are so big that they aren’t usable for the vast majority of people, as sometimes even Kaggle can’t handle them.
Kinda ironic I saw this post right after this other one lol: Three Democrats Re-Introduce Bill That Would Bring Ranked Choice Voting to Congressional Elections Across America
Looked up her name on Twitter to see what people were saying about this, that was a mistake 🙄
A lot of people seem to hate her for whatever reason, she was far from perfect, but all things considered I think she did fine as CEO and I never got the hate. It can’t be easy to manage a company as big and complex as YouTube.
The Haruspex is at it again!
One of the community notes on the post said it was posted the day before by another account, and an AI image detector flagged it as AI with 90% confidence.
Musk using an AI image to fantasize about being some badass cowboy is both pathetic and absolutely expected lol
“My science-based, 100% dragon MMO is already under development.”
Yeah while I don’t doubt that noise pollution can affect one’s health I have to wonder how much of this is just the placebo effect, like with people complaining that cellphone towers are giving them migranes or rashes.
Don’t a lot of people also keep their tax information as plain text in their PC? If someone’s really worried about that stuff being leaked I think it’s on them to download VeraCrypt or smth, and also not to use ChatGPT for sensitive stuff knowing that OpenAI and Apple will obviously use it as training data.
Maybe they should try using Claude 3.5 Sonnet to write more secure code for their systems. I’ve heard it’s the best LLM out there when it comes to coding 🤡
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
It’s a shame that it doesn’t seem to have that many players anymore. It’s a lot like other multi-class shooter games like Overwatch and Paladins, but about three times more crazy and weird, and I had a ton of fun playing it as a teen.
I’ve heard Garden Warfare 2 is pretty good too though, so I’ll consider buying it at some point (when I have money).

Not sure how deeply positive it was necessarily, but as far as I can tell I changed at least one person’s life significantly.
When I was in middle school I learned how to solve the Rubik’s cube through online tutorials, and afterwards I was basically addicted to it for a while and I was messing with a cube all the time. One of my classmates was interested in learning how to solve one, so I drew a bunch of guides and taught him the terminology, and soon enough he was also hooked on the Rubik’s cube.
I eventually grew tired of it, but he kept going and learned how to solve all sorts of smaller and bigger cubes and pyramids. I bumped into him at uni a few years later and he had a cube in his hand lol. Last I heard of him he was even participating in some local competitions, but idk what he’s up to now.
Even if he ultimately gave up on his speedcubing dreams I can at least say that I introduced him to a cool new hobby that kept him entertained for several years.
I would like to propose some changes to that title:
