Hey hey, same on a few of these.
Saline tastes like rubber bands smell, in my opinion.

My friends have called me sensitive to everything. Apparently most people don’t love walking through neighborhoods just to smell other people doing laundry? Hahahaha. I love it.
I’ve wanted some really excellent headphones for a while now, but it’s haven’t yet been at a place/time where I can pull the trigger. It will definitely happen one day

Wah! Yep. My bad, hahaha. Brain toot

Lmao. Yeahhhh, I always get a crick in my neck because I try to watch all the work they’re doing. It’s fascinating

I hear bats, absolutely. I can hear electronics as well, and some are just so frustrating. I’ve never heard a dog whistle, as in I’ve literally never seen one in person, but there’s a house near to me that has a warning thing when someone approaches their yard, probably to ward off dogs? But my god, it’s loud and high. I try to avoid that route at all costs.

12ft ladder has never worked for me, unfortunately. :/

I have a heart condition that I get an ECG (electro cardiogram) done for every 6 months or so. It’s just an ultrasound on your heart. They always take mine from a bunch of different angles and a bunch of different types of pictures.
But I was recently in the hospital and told the technician that their machine was loud. She looked baffled. I told her I can hear the ultrasound and hers is the loudest I’ve encountered. Apparently I’m the only person she’s ever done work on (or however to say that) that’s been able to hear it.
So I guess that is my super power. Or I’m just autistic, as apparently many autists can hear very high pitched noises.
But the ultrasound is pretty cool. The frequencies and the pitch will change depending on what photo mode they’re in. Like a doppler mode is all pewpewpewpewpew while the normal mode is all eeeeeeeeeeeee. Lol. It’s hard to explain.

Mine was all over the place to be honest.
Couldn’t afford college, so I joined the military as a weather forecaster - which is what I’d wanted to go to college for anyway.
After my contract, I tried to get into a college for meteorology, but because of the way some “classes” are graded for the military associates you can get, my GPA was technically too low for that program to accept me. I didn’t really have another choice for a college at the time, so I did a ton of research on bls.gov and decided to get a degree in geology.
Gosh I loved that program. But unfortunately I got really sick midway through and spent a lot of time in the hospital. What I was diagnosed with basically meant that I would never be able to be a geologist, so I had to swap gears again.
Instead I found GIS and got my degree in technical geography. Took a ton of internships that landed me with a good resume.
Now I work for a utilities company, making maps that are used internally. Since it’s utility work, we’re union and we have great benefits and flexibility. It’s really worked out for me

Seconded

Also vector pinball is very good

Arcade racers that aren’t just… Bad.
Burnout Revenge was a beloved game of my childhood. You had bonuses from wrecking your foes, got bonuses for creating wrecks, and for near death experiences. And there was an awesome mode where you would launch your car into a scene to cause as much damage as possible.
Midnight Club 2 where you could customize your cars and race them on fun tracks, but could also just beep around the open world.
Maybe it’s nostalgia, but I would love a fun racing game that doesn’t have a GTA attached to it.
‘Puzzles’ that are just fetch quests for numbers or pieces of something.
It’s so boring and such a waste of my time.
Let me circle these four pillars to find the numbers on them and plug them into the whatever keypad. Wowie. What a head scratcher. I sure feel like I solved a thing, boy howdy.
Something something Kairi’s heart something something Riku! Something something

Absolute History has a ton of their content on YouTube. It’s a BBC show following a historian and two archaeologists as they live like they’re in that time period.
They have a 1300s one, a 1500s one, and a Victorian era one, so probably 17-1800s
As I was scrolling by, I 100% thought this was a Minecraft world

To be honest, I’ve never understood it either, but I’ve used it in the past to find artists and fanart. Only because I understood Tumblr even less. Twitter was great for artists, or at least for my art enjoyment.

If you have an instant pot or something similar, pressure cooking eggs using a 5-5-5 method is also super great.
Put the eggs in a steamer tray or little rack- as long as they’re not touching the bottom. Pour in a cup of water, then seal the lid and make sure it’s not set to venting. Set it to cook on high pressure for 5 minutes (I do 4, actually because I like it a little jammy in the yolk).
It takes ~5 min for the pressure to come up, 5 min cook time, then you give 5 min for the pressure to naturally come down before venting and taking eggs out to put in cool water.
I’ve personally never used an ice bath and my eggs come out gorgeous every time.

So many keyboard shortcuts.
Tab, end, shift+home, del
I delete things en masse that I don’t mean to, just out of habit.

Both of my parents had difficult upbringings that both of them need some serious therapy for. I don’t really know any details, but a little bit ago my mom got a random call from an investigator in southern California. They had either caught some guy or were trying to catch some guy that killed a string of young girls some 30 years ago. All I know is that after talking more thoroughly with the investigator, she was sobbing - and my mother is a very hard woman. She had a run in with this guy and my guess is that there was something very traumatic involving an SA. But I don’t know and I don’t want to know because I don’t have the oomph to carry that weight with her unless she goes to therapy.
I know some other stories from either of them and it rings true that hurt people hurt people. But I don’t want to know more about any of the hard times nor the party times because it’s too much for me to bear.
Are you able to smell ants? I have a friend who can track them down in their house and they have a hard time with odors too
