Besides all the political and moral issues and all that, I’m super curious to see how a massive influx of rice into Cuba in a time of starvation will affect their cuisine. Lots of interesting cultural foods come from periods of adapting new sources of nutrition into an existing cuisine. Obviously they already have access to rice, but I wonder how they will adapt to doing their best with eating mainly rice for some time.

Going through the same thing currently. I recommend you make some time for yourself to go camping or maybe even move out of a city and try to find yourself somewhere more remote. I know its not that easy but you deserve it and going camping is a very nice way to relax.

I don’t know your life and I truly do not mean to be demeaning if this is something you’re unable to do. I haven’t been able to camp recently but I did buy a hammock and have set it up a few times in a nearby park and I have found that time has been so good for me.

I very much understand the disillusionment with the modern grind. I have been playing that game and mostly just been fishing, hunting, or camping. I hope you’re able to find some way to get some time for yourself or with other people who also want the wilderness.

The example given in the article is trying to get a rare gem or something. I honestly think it would be pretty funny to see chatgpt try to get something truly difficult. I imagine that AI would be quite bad at precise, well timed and executed maneuvers.

Hilarious that they’ve pivoted from assembly automation, which is feasible and meaningful and in fact is happening, to arts/humanities automation, which isn’t really possible when you think about how training works.

A lot of menial tasks can be automated and that’s probably fine… There’s a lot of stupid meaningless shit we have to do everyday. And maybe we could eliminate that stuff from the grind considering its all arbitrary, or maybe automate it away.

Regardless, doesn’t the idea that both sides of the aisle, vocational and office jobs, approaching automation mean that maybe we should start talking about things not costing anything anymore?
