Valve is here to revive the LAN party!

Not exactly, but regardless it is still good to label the behavior here

Isn’t this literal terrorism?
Companies pay taxes on profits though, not revenue. It’s easy to avoid taxes by spending down your profits.
Probably being able to go in bike lanes, shoulders, sidewalks, between cars, and other places where normal vehicles can’t go. Generally this would be more flexible and nimble in last mile delivery.
Re-reading this, maybe your standards for “content” you consume are too high. The people around you tend to be average or uninteresting and that’s normal. Get better friends or be better as a friend and have something to do or talk about.
I’m curious to hear this about what someone may be doing alone that strictly isn’t “social interaction”. Normally I would think that they are doing something that only requires one active participant – maybe reading a book, watching shows, browsing the Internet, even something like taking a bath and enjoying a candle.
I might consider each of these to actually involve other people outside of that moment who you are experiencing asynchronously. The media is written, the candle is made, they were bought from a store. Not sure if I would count the bath water yet, but there was some work done before even laying the pipe and collecting the materials.
Unless you are literally making everything from raw natural materials, other people are deeply involved in our lives and I don’t think we appreciate that enough about society. So while you would be at least arm’s distance from anybody in your room, I don’t think you are ever really alone.

What isn’t? Everything is growing, decaying, or changing in some way, honestly.

Are you a boss at work of some kind? Maybe your perspective is tied up with some problem you have with your work culture. People are just complicating things when this is actually just so simple, right?

“Seat time” is literally what you are giving them in that situation. You can say that it’s not “time” but I can say that it is because there is nuance and we are doing many things at same time. Being present physically, mentally, paying attention to your surroundings, putting in effort, etc, can in many ways be counted separately. Who’s to say if your way of accounting for time is the “correct” one or whether somebody else’s is?

I think they are saying they would rather depend on software and hardware that they can more or less control rather than cloud services

Get ready for the No Bell Piece Prize Battle Royale. “You want a piece of me?”

Like a WWE Superstar suplexing the opponent (his own country) to show dominance? Gotcha

A more “controlling” company could try to lock down the cartridge or even a disc with the logic that the license is tied to the purchaser. It doesn’t seem like much since that is the status quo, but last generation Microsoft was testing those waters and we’re just happy that these boundaries aren’t being pushed again right now.

Maybe Putin isn’t even in control of his own country’s military
Thought that house would be much bigger from the GB games

Sliding into dictatorship removing a president who tried to grab power for himself?

Where did you hear this story about Biden making a promise to protect Israel?
Might as well go for it. There will be more updates in the future.
