Probably being able to go in bike lanes, shoulders, sidewalks, between cars, and other places where normal vehicles can’t go. Generally this would be more flexible and nimble in last mile delivery.

Re-reading this, maybe your standards for “content” you consume are too high. The people around you tend to be average or uninteresting and that’s normal. Get better friends or be better as a friend and have something to do or talk about.
I’m curious to hear this about what someone may be doing alone that strictly isn’t “social interaction”. Normally I would think that they are doing something that only requires one active participant – maybe reading a book, watching shows, browsing the Internet, even something like taking a bath and enjoying a candle.
I might consider each of these to actually involve other people outside of that moment who you are experiencing asynchronously. The media is written, the candle is made, they were bought from a store. Not sure if I would count the bath water yet, but there was some work done before even laying the pipe and collecting the materials.
Unless you are literally making everything from raw natural materials, other people are deeply involved in our lives and I don’t think we appreciate that enough about society. So while you would be at least arm’s distance from anybody in your room, I don’t think you are ever really alone.

8·5 个月前“Seat time” is literally what you are giving them in that situation. You can say that it’s not “time” but I can say that it is because there is nuance and we are doing many things at same time. Being present physically, mentally, paying attention to your surroundings, putting in effort, etc, can in many ways be counted separately. Who’s to say if your way of accounting for time is the “correct” one or whether somebody else’s is?

Some people like struggling with something until they achieve success, and others just want to relax and have a good time.
Personally, I’ve had my fun with hard games in the past, but I’m turned off from the idea of getting stuck behind a skill barrier because I’m older now and have less time to spend on games.

3·2 年前I agree with you, but I want to point out that this conflation is a direct result of our election system because it mechanically cannot support more than two parties.
Any other political interests need to merge together into one big entity that is nearly impossible to disentangle from the rest, so now maga = conservatism and we lose a lot of nuance in or political decision making and ability to be represented.
I’m pushing for Election Reform this election to move past First Past the Post voting.
