Dear sir,
While we have not met, your opinion is so wrong I have no choice but to challenge you to a duel on that hill. Choose the weapons and the time.

The more the ingredients stray from: milk, cream, sugar, whatever flavor; the less it’s ice cream.
Figure anything store bought is also going to have some preservatives, but milk, cream, and sugar should be the first 3 things listed else it’s likely “frozen dairy” instead of ice cream.
To even have Greedo shoot reflexively as he dies fundamentally changes Han from cold blooded to standing his ground. To have Greedo miss a 3ft shot so Han can justify a response is just laughably bad. Han’s redemption (returning any the end to save the day) is cheapened by the fact that he’s not the cold blooded, do anything to survive, scum of Moss Eisley as he was in the original theatrical release.
I’m glad someone is cranking up battery sizes. If the camera sticks out from the back, you have room. Too bad it’s not from a company with better customer service.
I almost never see accurate sword fights. If they last more than two or three swings, they’re likely wrong. And Achilles jumping at the beginning of Troy was just comical. Footwork is so vital to sword play that leaving the ground is insane. But realistic sword play would be boring as fuck. It would be over in half a second and you would barely see any movement.
More than there was before the cooks got put on dishwashing and floor mopping.
So Six Flags is apparently pretty ban happy. I’m not welcome in Magic Mountain anymore.
In my early twenties circa 2004 we borrowed my mom’s mini van, loaded up 8 of us and drove over night to get to Magic Mountain as they were opening. So it starts with the fact that before we started running around, I’d already been awake for 24 hours.
For whatever reason that day there was a large group that just kept cutting lines. “Excuse me, I’m trying to get up there to get my cousin off the ride.” But then they would group up and stay in line.
So big guy in front of me has some kids with him. My girlfriend and I had split away from our main group. Medium dude with wife and 2 kids behind me all loudly complaining to each other about it, I finally had enough and figured I’d have back up, so I grip the hand rail on each side and will not let go when the next few try to pull it again.
Cutter comes up with his wife or girlfriend and asks the same excuse, I refuse, he makes threats, anyone I thought was going to back me up suddenly examining their shoes. Dude swings at me and I easily duck it, but had to let go and he goes running ahead. My perceived back up offer excuses about not starting shit with their kids there, now with kids of my own I understand but back then I was really let down.
We get to where there’s finally a ride operator, the guy that threw at me is getting on the coaster, I point him out for cutting and swinging. Eventually I get on the coaster and as it’s going up I see him getting escorted away by security. When the ride ends security is waiting for me too.
“You’re out of here”
“Why, all I did was attempt to block a cutter?”
“He says you threw the first punch”
“Check the cameras“
“Doesn’t matter, policy says you’re both out and can’t come back”
So I get a tour behind the scenes to the parking lot. Girlfriend has to use the chicken exit to collect the group since this is prior to the time when everyone has a phone in their pocket. I get told they’ll let me wait in the car for my group but after that, don’t come back.
So yeah, I can’t go to Magic mountain anymore because cutters are also liars.
Reddit was built for people like us, but what it’s become is something else entirely.
I’ve got a manager that’s replaced problem with “opportunity to succeed”. Well, I’ve got 99 opportunities to succeed I guess.
Already have everything I should need for the next few years besides consumables. Considering buying a few buckets of emergency food from Costco. Other than that, bending over and lubing up because I can’t keep a cactus alive, much less crops.
Love roller coaster covered by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, originally by the Ohio players I think, unsure because there’s been a few covers, but RHCPs is the best. The problem is they did it for the movie Bevis and Butthead do America, and I’m now there are weird license rights so you can’t stream it, but can be found on you tube.
The average truck buyer is looking for something that can do everything. Seating for the whole family, comfortable for trips across town or aria the country, able to pull a trailer and carry a load. Enough luxury to enjoy the drive.
This truck is for businesses. Construction or last mile delivery. Enough room for just the people necessary to load or unload it. No comfort features besides the bare minimum. No long range driving.
I expect to see these in fleet yards, not in driveways.
Active communities, period.
Reddit started out without subreddits. Eventually grew too big for that so split into topical channels. Then the channel would get too big and a niche would subdivide out. When Lemmy started, or more so when there was the first big exodus from Reddit, all of that was recreated, but without the users. So we have a ton of dead communities that really need to be rolled up and cleaned up.
Lost was the tv version of clickbait. 3 concurrent story lines rotated from week to week. Every episode a cliffhanger that you had to wait 2 more weeks to resolve into a nothing burger. Even watching that shit on disc or streaming is annoying as fuck. I might have liked what was going on story wise, but I got too annoyed with the format to get past mid season 2.
Walking dead is the king of spreading 4 episodes of content across 12 episodes. You could watch the season opener, the 2 episodes that close the first half and start the second if each season, and the finale, and not miss anything of substance.
Really needs to back this up with some corroborating evidence like Google maps location timeline or something. I don’t trust Tesla, but I also know when I switched to EV I started making excuses to drive everywhere. Practically free miles and great acceleration made driving a joy again. Also my wife and I would often swap vehicles if she had some errand across town to save on gas. Combined that out way more miles in my EV than I had been putting on the previous gas car.
If all this guy did is commute, then he likely has a case, but I really question that.
The moon was spun out of the same stuff as the earth. That was fact in the early years of my education. A few years later there were multiple theories: co development, captured a wandering planetoid, the Thea impact, and a fourth one I can’t remember but I think it was something dumb like planetary mitosis. By the time I graduated the Thea impact was considered the only viable theory.
Just don’t look?
Annoying that they clog the search results I guess, but they are a great way for creators to drive engagement with their long form content. Sports has guided me to some really interesting content I wouldn’t have found otherwise.
Base 10/100 is inferior to 12/60 when it comes to splitting.
10 can only be divided by 10,5,2, and 1. 100 only adds 4, 25, and 50 to that.
12 is divisible by 12,6,4,3,2, and 1. 60 adds 5,10,15,20, and 30.
What is time other than measuring the movements of circles and spheres? The rotation of the earth, the revolution around the sun. It makes sense for us to use the same basic 12/60/360 tools we use for circles, degrees. The “metric” measurement of circles is radians, which would require factoring pi into our measurement of time, and that would be way more complicated.
