Afaik, almost every browser uses “Mozilla/5.0” as part of the user agent, Mozilla mentions it as well in developer docs about User agents, it’s a historical compatibility thing apparently.

So, I like loose leaf when I can, but will totally use bags, I grew up with Tetley so that’ll always be the tea I’ll use for some basic iced tea. Yorkshire gold reminds me a lot of Red Rose, which is the other really common bag tea (and I swear is what my grandmother uses for her water intake). Recently, have some bags from Genuine Tea, it’s a Canadian brand and some of their blends are pretty good, there’s an elderberry hibiscus one that’s great to just toss a few bags in a pitcher and cold steep.

Going to mention more types of teas rather than brands that I’ve liked in the past, there’s a lot of variety and tea (like quality coffee) can totally have a wide range of flavours depending on region, age, processing etc. By no means an expert, I just like trying things.

I like Lapsang Souchong sometimes, can have a strong smoky flavour, don’t have any more but we had some first flush Darjeeling tea that was fantastic. I had some nice white tea as well, but you need to be careful, turns super unpleasant if you over steep it or have the water too hot, should be floral and lightly fruity, not pine needles.

Otherwise, I personally like oolong and pu’erh tea the best. I tend to brew tea quick with an excess of leaves, but you’ll use the same tea leaves multiple times. Pu’erh can have some earthy subtle flavours, and apparently totally changes as it ages (it’s fermented if I recall).

I bought a Brother colour laser last year (which on the outside looks identical to the monochrome one I bought 17 years ago that lives with my parents), zero issues, which pretty much has been my experience with printers on linux (also tried a ~5 y/o & 25 y/o HP LaserJet, one being the cheapest thing I’ve ever used, other being old office equipment, think I tried the Epson ecotank and photo printer my mil has as well)

Bandcamp, I follow a bunch of labels that’ve done releases I like and have set up a bunch of genre tags, I’ll go through every so often and go through releases, see what jumps out at me.

Otherwise, there’s a few reviewers I’ve come to trust over the years, my partner likes angrymetalguy and both follow Rez Metal Podcast. Otherwise it’s forums, Lemmy, reddit or other online community.

Two-spirit it’s (to my knowledge) very much tied to indigenous culture, recognising people who fulfill a traditional third gender, you’ll see 2S included a lot in Canada, official government stuff uses 2SLGBTQI+.

From the 360 Era — Too Human
The control scheme is bizarre at first (right stick is melee) but it works once you’re used to it. It’s Sci-Fi Norse mythology, I recall it having a pretty solid art style. I picked it up used from either Blockbuster or EB because I wanted to see just how bad it was, ended up enjoying it far more than I expected, I’ll give it a “Yeah, it’s ok”, disc images are readily available if you want to emulate it, can find a physical copy cheap online too if that’s your thing.

This is the game that ended up taking down its studio (Silicon Knights, they developed Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem and Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, they tried to sue Epic, who countersued and won, probably added to my initial interested tbh.

It’s not terrible advice tbh, even just hand sketches are solid for getting ideas down, makes it easy to translate to cad. It at least helps me think things through and the like.

Get a few pencils with different leads (some harder stuff like 2-4H and an HB) and some nice paper and you’re good, but really anything works, totally have a mockup of my garage on a whiteboard planning where I want to put stuff.

As for cad packages, freecad, as far as I’m aware there are some architecture workbench plugins, and there’s a tech drawing workbench. Coming back to cad after a while I found it super easy to pick back up (coming from solidworks at least)

My partner and I were concerned about that originally but it’s really a non issue for either of us, it’s still way better than not having one.

That’s super bizarre and sorry you’re having those issues. I have a 4070ti w/ an 11900k on arch (use debian on my laptop and printers, chose arch for more recent releases for drivers in particular) and guess I’ve been lucky, arch wiki won’t 100% help but might point you at other possible configs?

Had solid luck with the nvidia-open drivers, and really other than setting a few flags for hdr in KDE (which I’m not sure it’s still needed), I do recall looking at DRM kernel mode settings (section 1.2), most of my grief though has been HDR related (and gamescope doesn’t play nice with some games, steam big picture also can render strange on higher resolutions)

Synapse link is a pain too if you’re doing everything with as much private networking as possible. Actual setup is quick, but you need a windows machine for the PowerShell libraries needed for the dynamics side of the link, and if you’re just added as a guest to a client tenant, the cmdlets won’t let you login on their tenant, always uses the default tenant as far as I recall and there’s no tenant flag. I’ve set it up a handful of times and once it’s up it works really well, just an annoyance sometimes getting there. Think doing it through event hub has some similar irritations too.

I’ve not had the pain of dealing with fabric extensively, most of the engineers and data scientists I work with hate working with it, everything seems like a halfbaked implementation of stuff in synapse, adf and Power BI premium but somehow worse, and their documentation is increasingly unhelpful.

Should add eduke32 (that’s the repo, site here) for Duke Nukem 3D, believe Ion Fury (which is phenomenal) is built on that, think I’ve seen mention of it working with other build engine games, I’ve used with assets from world tour, it’s a better experience imo.

Gzdoom has some great games built on the engine too (bit of a tangent), Selaco and Hedon both fantastic games.

My partner suspected it like a decade ago, pandemic rolled around, masking got harder. Started with my current therapist, who has ADHD, they worked with me exploring why I thought I may and helped me navigate diagnosis, seeing others lived experiences was big and is why I’m open about it at work and otherwise.

Had my preliminary consult with my psych and was given an eval that I passed with flying colours. Looking back, I check lots of boxes, I failed a course in uni because I got stressed and binged wow as an outlet, loss of structure hit me hard going from highschool. Courses I wasn’t interested in I had a hard time investing in. My masking at work didn’t do great for my mental health or personal life, food & alcohol were the drugs I used (incidentally vyvanse is used for binge eating disorder as well), hit financial issues from impulse spending. I’ve written about my experience with that in the past, was not a good time in my life (mentally or physically) but I’ve worked through it (with therapy) so it’s a chapter I don’t want to repeat.

I went through stages of acceptance after my diagnosis, which is totally normal, I’d get frustrated realising how much of my behaviour is linked to my ADHD, either directly or as a coping mechanism. Was annoyed initially I got the diagnosis in my 30s but hey, can’t change the past and I wouldn’t be who I am without my experiences. I’ve still got work to do and maladaptive coping mechanisms to unpack, but hey it’s a journey and diagnosis was absolutely vital, I’m super grateful to my partner for really pushing me towards it, they’re also nd so we help support each other.

We are already are, look at season passes, dlc etc, 90+ is the de facto price of a lot of AAA games. They’ll claim going even higher is to support developers or whatever when laying people off en masse and posting even larger quarterly results, it’s pure avarice.

They also tend to sell more copies vs decades ago, which is partly why the $70cad game was so normal for so long IMO.

Getting washed out HDR on a 4070ti on 570.144 drivers for whatever reason, but gamescope w/ HDR seem to work perfectly with Proton 10 (Both the valve beta and now GE versions, it’d freeze when trying to enable HDR in the past), having HDR at all in games is a huge win so I’ll take it.

You can muffle the beeper pretty effectively with some tape, the old air fryer we had terrified one of the dogs because of the incessant beeping. My coffee scale by default beeps whenever you touch it, thankfully that’s 100% mutable.

I also hate this.

I’ve had fruit flies before that must have come in on some produce, have to be on it to clear them, leave out any fruit/veg scraps and they come out (out being tossed in the trash/green bin too, anything open air). Drop of dish soap, water and vinegar in a high walled glass or jar is the way to do it, I used balsamic but malt or wine vinegar works too, just leave that out and it’ll do its job.

My current place we jokingly call the spider house, have a bunch of house spiders around (cats love them) and a few orb-weavers, garden and wolf spiders outside, pretty much anything native isn’t a threat to humans or cats, they do a great job of taking out any pests, rarely see flies inside these days. Spiders and centipedes I’ll leave alone, they’re beneficial to have around.

It’s probably no coincidence that a large amount of technical people are some form of neurodiverse, I’ve run into a lot of others with ADHD working as a SWE, definitely suspected some as well when I worked as a Mech Eng (wasn’t diagnosed then), and there’s definitely people with autism as well.

Lots of our processes are flavours of continuous improvement, agile is amazing when it’s done correctly, as I get older I’ve started pushing more for that.

Haven’t looked into it but do shops offer lube analysis services? Yeah you could send out your own sample to a lab, having it as a shop service would be way more accessible to people.

Though, in my experience, getting people to commit can be a pain, lots of “yeah I know we have a long p-f interval and it’s super noticeable before it functionally fails, but it’s not that much effort so I’m doing needless maintenance anyhow just in case”, which end of the day you do you.
