I think an invasion of Greenland would finish the US, especially since the Danes have a lot of experience in how to fight winter conditions while the US not so much.

I think something similar applies as well in, for example, Mexico. There are boat loads of highly (US military) trained criminals over there with a lot of experience in sending messages. Once the hundredth soldier was found dangling from a bridge, or cut up in a salad, it might become hard to explain to Maga base why really is worth it.

Nah, AI will already do that automatically because any and all system loses something in inefficiencies. Same like if you put a theoretical 100 miles of gas worth in your tank that turns into 20 in practice because the combustion engine has an efficiency of 30ish%, you have air and tire resistance, etc etc.

AI has the same for information, and what comes out is always a certain fraction of the 100% that went in

To me, the root cause are sloppy web pages with JavaScript, and those ain’t gonna fix themselves, so yeah, it’s up to Firefox (if a plugin would exist for that) to do this

I’d change that to “more than 10% continuously” because any page can shoot to 100% in short bursts for a wide variety of valid reasons.

It’s the continuous load that is a problem, so basically 100% for 10 seconds straight would be a problem

You’d think it would, and it somewhat checks when a page becomes unresponsive, but that’s it

Amazon pages (yeah, Amazon sucks, I know) typically just start normal and jump into 100% CPU after being open and left alone for an hour, and Firefox is all okay with that.

That depends a little on culture too. A sort of semi hug is extremely normal in Mexico, and even considered rude to decline. It’s just what people do there, there’s little wrong with it, I’ve hugged hundreds of people like that because again, culture.
