I think it’s the U2 line platform heading West but I could be wrong.

Games@lemmy.world•Why is gaming becoming so expensive? The answer is found in AIEnglish
20·1 month agoThese days it’s difficult to tell if it’s ragebait or trolling and some people here think things are obvious because we too live in an echo chamber, and some will just downvote and move on if they see something they disagree with or don’t like. I wouldn’t worry so much about downvotes here, you don’t get really buried like on Reddit and it doesnt matter overall (or at all). The Guardian is a very well known centre left newspaper that isn’t run by a large news corp, but that doesnt make it fringe, and tabloids are known for low effort journalism/gossip so it doesnt fit those categories. Either way, I hope you don’t get discouraged from contributing here if you are genuinely adding to the discourse. If you baitin then ya got me.
Decades of propaganda by the auto industry, especially through cinema and TV, has programmed people to think that if you don’t have a nice car you won’t get laid.

5·4 months agoThere are and I used to use them but they aren’t error-free either or following the style guides I need to adhere to so it’s essentially the same outcome.

54·4 months agoI often use it in programming to either layout the unit testsor do something that’s repetitive like create entities or DTOs from schemas. These tasks I can do myself easily but they’re boring and I will also make mistakes. I always have to check every single line and need to correct things, plus have to write one or two detailed prompts to make sure that the correct pattern and style is followed. It saves me a lot of time, but always tries to do more than it should: if it writes tests it will try and run them, and then try and fix them, and then try to change my code which is annoying and I always cancel all of that.
I find AI art and creative writing boring and I only really see these things as a tool to support being more efficient where applicable, and you also have to know what you’re doing, just like using any other tool.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•should i buy hell divers? i hear about it very less these days, is it worth it?
6·5 months agoExactly the same sentiment I loved playing it with friends and alone but the armour unlocks are basically pointless except for your character looking different. You basically just have low armour rating and fast pace or high armour rating and slow pace. It seems like they wanted to have an in-depth armour configuration system but it doesn’t really matter that much which one you pick.
The weapons kept getting nerfed on update when they realised some were over powered; Idk if that still happens as I haven’t played for several months but a lot of reducing the magazine capacity of shotguns was more of an annoyance as opposed to balancing the game.
I managed to move my family and a few friends there but my main group chats and nonchalant gf are impossible to move over unfortunately.
You can get it from Google fonts which means you can easily download / import it into another application if that helps. One of the other replies also linked another source. I just provided the official link because they have a nice rationale on the design choices.
IDK I’m not affiliated with them but maybe use a throwaway email alias.
I love this hyperlegible one from the Braille Institute: https://www.brailleinstitute.org/freefont/
According to Wiktionary it’s likely that that’s a backronym but not confirmed. Could have come from Nancy/Nance or Ponce.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Who would you describe as accidentally famous?
30·8 months agoHe was in 28 Days Later, the Dark Knight trilogy, and Inception well before Peaky Blinders which were all very successful (perhaps 28 Days Later only in the UK). Granted he wasn’t the lead in the Nolan films but I would contest that he wasn’t famous before Peaky Blinders.
Entirely depends what is on the floor above that spot? Is there a bathroom above it or anything?

Reddit@lemmy.world•I didn't think it was possible to sum up reddit with a single image, but...

It doesnt really matter either way but I’m inclined to believe you because you aren’t exactly going to get kudos for being close to reddit founders on the fediverse so this is more like a confession than a brag. FWIW I enjoyed the context.
