SmartTube is so good. You get it for no ads; you keep it for all the dope features. It’s like YT way back in the day with more advanced shit for anyone that loves tinkering with all the fiddly bits.
Because it’s a bit of an echo chamber and people get too involved in stuff with anonymity. You will find this sort of social behaviour all over the internet and from any “camp”. It’s just bad people.
Yeah. Japan’s usually going to be number 1 in Asia, but we all go for whoever of those three teams is still in and usually two of them are in the WC. China’s just insignificant. I think even NZ is higher than them and they’re a low-population nation obsessed with rugby.
a humiliating 7-0 loss to World Cup rivals Japan
Uuuh. Maybe China considers Japan a rival, but Japan wouldn’t consider China at all. If an actual world-class team like Japan has a rival, it would be Korea. Both teams obviously well above China in rankings.
You could consider Australia a rival, but honestly the two countries and the fans love each other too much.
You just made me realise I’m a gamer, not a Fortniter. But I probably should’ve realised that based on my Steam "years of service* and disgustingly large catalogue.
I’m a proven guaranteed money pot, publishers! Make me something good and I give the moneys!
For the US, I think it would be so slow at catching up to more developed standards of gun control that it would be generational and not a matter of years. It’s not so much the laws that are currently in place that’s the issue, it’s the lack of regulation that’s created such an ingrained culture that’s going to take a long time to evolve. So, technology like this would stil definitely be utilised in the future.
My thoughts, anyway.
And honestly, I didn’t even realise there was another school shooting in the US. Internationally, I guess it just gets covered less and less because it’s not really “news” anymore.
I always figure it’s someone whose life has become so pathetic, they bitterly downvote every single comment to try feel some control. And as a result, they feel like the Phantom of the Socials. Alone, but the true master of the place.
“Everyone must wonder, ‘Who keeps downvoting us?’ It is I! The true Master of Lemmy and- No, mother!.. Yes, mother!.. I tried but nobody wants to talk to me!.. I don’t want to!.. Yeah, she’s cute!.. I don’t want you to do that!.. Mother put the phone down!”
For the hostages, right?
Having not even ridden horses or been around them, do they genuinely have a happy personality? Or is it something you have to work on, and then they like to be ridden and like spending time with their familiar human companion?
Just curious, since I’ll gladly handle snakes, swim in shark areas, or deal with an aggressive dog that’ll definitely bite me—I know all about these animals, so it’s not scary. But horses have always been scary because I just don’t know. The idea of walking behind one or being near one is unsettling. They’re huge.
You haven’t been on the internet long enough. This is how it starts…for like, the billionth time
the “clearly marked” humanitarian vehicle
They’re white. Except for the massive black markings. I don’t think it can get much more obvious without bringing beacons and a sky writing display in.
UN prepares the extra angry pen for this letter
In my experience, not at all. But sometimes they help with creativity when you hit a wall or challenge you can’t resolve.
They have been trained off internet examples where everyone has a different style/method of coding, like writing style. It’s all very messy and very unreliable. It will be years for LLMs to code “good” and will require a lot of training that isn’t scraping.
A lot of it comes from experiences they’ve had.
Jokes on them, I think lowly of people with exercise bikes. I’m on a level of pretentious they can’t reach.
Same goes for people that think escalators and travelators are rides. If you want to stand there, on the slowest dumbest ride ever, and this is way cooler than getting to where you want to go quicker, move over and keep the overtaking lane open.
And “almond milk is almond juice”
And with Trump’s stellar success rate with new ventures and all.
I like it. It’s premise is accepting things beyond your control, allowing someone to stoically move forward rather than dwell in anxiety and disbelief.
All the while it gets further and further from the requirements. So you open five more conversations, give them the same prompt, and try pick which one is least wrong.
All the while realising you did this to save time but at this point coding from scratch would have been faster.
