afaik, in cuba the means of production isn’t directly controlled by the workers but is controlled by the government which acts as a middle man between the workers and the means of production

cuba is quite close to real socialism

it’s probably because most instances have defederated with ‘tankie’ instances like lemmygrad or hexbear, so all you really see is ragebait screenshots of tankies saying stupid things. although most of these posts seem to be coming from one user

marxism would be a better term instead of communism as true communism requires no one having economic or political power over someone else

norway isn’t socialist, but a social democracy where they move all the unethical labour somewhere else. it’s miles better than neoliberalism, but it’s still capitalist
