    Ted is likely positioning himself for another presidential run in 2028. Part of that involves making statements that are broadly popular. “The government shouldn’t censor speech” is about the most non-controversial thing he could possibly say.

        The “freeze peach” shit is used mockingly when arguing against people who think the first amendment means they can say racist shit on private property with no consequence.

          The first amendment does mean that, where consequences are specifically government fines or imprisonment. It doesn’t protect you from being fired from your job later
