The flags here were lowered to half mast recently and I got excited.

Unfortunately it was something local and not my hope.

I’ve been dealing with the kind of mental health issue alluded to here for a long time, for myself and people I’ve known.

Get revenge on the people that wronged you by flourishing. Remove yourself from toxicity and thrive as hard as you can just to leave the haters in the shitty place that you both intersected at, while you grow and blossom and evolve, and they are left the stagnant monkeys that they are.

Cute y’all think this is going to die with him.

They might replace him with someone competent.

Few can match his weird charisma with the masses, even if they can better bend the government to their will. When strongman leaders die, they are notoriously hard to replace, so considering how Trump has torn down anyone with independent popularity while filling his administration with weaklings like Vance, the party will not stay in power without him. Even much of the right will be sick of the state of the economy, despite their unwillingness to admit that it was all their fault. This wave of fascism will die with Trump, and that’s why nobody has succeeded in replace him over the last decade.

Besides, I think the oligarchs will want more stability after he’s gone, and with the Democrats getting more corrupt every year, placing them in power will be a no brainer. Foolish liberals will believe whatever bullshit they’re sold about “rebuilding our democracy” and “swinging the pendulum back,” while some Gavin Newsom like corporat will be chosen as the next king. With the rise of China as the dominant superpower, they’ll sell everyone on anticommunist bullshit that’ll win over many of fascists that used to follow Trump. They’ll likely continue throwing minorities like trans people and immigrants under the bus, but they’ll be nicer about it and dress it up as “serious concerns” to give plausible deniability to people who thought Trump only went too far.

If that’s what you mean by replace him with someone competent, then maybe you’re correct. However, that’ll be a distinctly different stage to what we have right now, and it likely won’t last either for the very same reason that neoliberalism led to fascism in the first place.

My father in laws fondest wish was to outlive Trump. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it. So I have to live that wish for him.

I have a bottle of champagne that was gifted to my partner and I at our wedding. We were originally saving it for a milestone anniversary, but we have instead decided that we uncork it when It Happens.

I check the news every morning. One of these days, I’ll see that the little blood clot we’re all rooting for finally won. And that will be such a good day.

I could see him putting himself in orbit, in some kind of space coffin. Maybe with help from bezos. And making a big spectacle of it before he dies. People make some jokes and then everyone forgets about it. Ten years later, there’s some obscure news story about it get hit by some orbiting garbage and knocking it into the atmosphere, and nobody caring.

It’ll just make him a martyr to these assholes. And when that last cheeseburger finally gets him, I swear it will be a conspiracy theory that he was poisoned by Obama or whoever.

Reagan went out slowly over 10 years with Alzheimers and they still worshipped him.

They will find any excuse to worship whoever they want because they are not bound by logic or reason.

So if they’re going to worship him regardless, might as well hope to stop the damage he causes sooner.

Dementia takes a long time to kill people. Especially if they’re surrounded by caretakers and servants. Until they stop drinking and die of dehydration, it’s really only heart failure/ stroke or falls that kill them. I doubt someone so narcissistic has a DNR or end of life directives.

It’ll be interesting to see how much longer he’ll be able to walk though. He’s unfortunately likely to finish out the term first.

I have a feeling his health will take a rapid downturn after January 20 or so. Peter Thiel will want his puppet to go into the 2028 election with an incumbency advantage and a sympathy hook, and at that point, it won’t use up any of his constitutionally-permitted terms.
