It’s like seeing someone who’s been a failing student all year, who was told they need to get a B or higher on the final to pass. Then when they manage it, they go around bragging, “Who got a decent grade on the final and doesn’t have to retake the course in summer school? This guy!”
Then they point at the honor students, who were exempted from the final due to their high grades, and tease them over not even having a score for the final… so far detached from the situation that they fail to see how having no grade at all in this case is better than getting any grade.
