Its very funny to me that these days Link is the genderfluid one of much fan canon obsession.
Back in my day, Zelda just dressed up as a ninja sometimes and was a mysterious ninja badass, smoke bombs and everything!
It must have been a pretty tight binder, fooled me!
Presumably also must have done a fair deal of voice training as well, as Link doesn’t even figure it out untill … they(?) literally flash him.
iirc, the creator says that Link has no canonical gender, because Link is, well, a link between the game and the player.
clearly link is genderfluid. when hes wearing masc clothes he uses he/him, when shes wearing fem clothes she uses she/her, when theyre wearing enby clothes they use they/them. we just happen to see him wearing mostly masc clothes to save the world. in her domestic life with zelda between crises they probably wear more fem and enby clothes. i bet zelda loves to dress her up all pretty.
