I somewhat echo you feelings on ignorance and “China bad!”, but definitely do not agree with the characterisation of China as a “proletariat government”.

The workers do not have meaningful democratic control over society in China, and to claim they do requires some next-level mental gymnastics.

If one believes in control of society by the workers, as socialists ought to by definition (at least, by my understanding), one really ought not tout China as a government to emulate…
