Yes, though I wouldn’t call this one unimportant. There is a real problem on the left with trying to make exhaustive lists when saying “everyone” (or the appropriate variation) would do a much, much better job in a few ways. Most list makers at least have the sense to end with “and everyone else” or “everyone treated unfairly” or whatever, but occasionally that part gets left off and it just feels like a huge fuck you to everyone not included.

I was raised with LGBT which basically covered everything and it was awesome

It wasn’t until. The alphabet soup snowflakes needed letters for every 2^45 possible gender and sec combinations out there that it got annoying

Its LGBT, maybe LGBT+, but just leave it at that

Same as the rainbow flag: beautiful, elegant. After the snowflakes were done with it it became a god unholy curse from Beelzebub design

Equal rights for everyone, but please stop over complicating the crap out of everything. You’re not special, nobody is special, we’re all human, we’re all the same.

I wasn’t raised in LGBT, wasn’t born in a place there it’s supported either (and it still isn’t there), and am not LGBT+ myself. But I wholeheartedly support their right to whichever it is they’re born to do.

But that one time I didn’t update my dictionary and just said LGBT+ and one of em came to me to basically reprimand me saying I should be using LGBT with the right suffixes, that was not cool.

I still support their cause, but it’s good to remember that there are assholes in every imaginable group of people, regardless of whether or not they’re discriminated against. And they should also just gtfo of their bubbles more. And yes, that comfort zone is a dang bubble by definition.

Why it needs to be anything different for the human species at all is an insult and degrading.

If the letter count was the main concern, I wouldn’t call it a mouthful now, would I? Or does it take you six times longer to say “sleeve” than “I”?
