If you pay 1% for one house, someone with 2 houses should pay 2%, and a company with 2000 homes should pay 2000%

In my country, the primary residence is taxed way less.
Same in the US. It’s called a homestead exemption
In the US property taxes are paid to the county. Some if not most charge more in taxes if it’s rental income.
And these higher taxes are then… passed on to the tenant 🙃
