Peter Thiel doesn’t plan on dying. He’s a transhumanist that believes he will merge with AI and live forever and the human race will be wiped out as he ascends to immortality.
He talks about it in his interview with the new York times.
It’s physically impossible at this point to merge one’s mind with a computer. We don’t fully understand how consciousness works and by the time we do, he’ll be worm food.

Actually in a way, maybe it would be a good thing if he achieves it. We can either pull the plug on AI and wipe him out, or he’ll go crazy living a thousand years. That would be hell.
