I don’t think anyone considers it “amazing”, but what in the holy fuck is with ‘gluten-free’, and why the holy hell would I ever not want gluten if I’m not allergic? Are people conflating it with “glutton”? Do they think it’ll make them fat? Gluten-free muffins sound like fucking torture devices from hell.
I suppose that about 1% of the inhabitants of our planet has a certain intolerance to gluten. Probably even more because a lot of people have such a light intolerance they write it off as something else.
Pretty much all premade gluten free stuff taste horrible or the texture is weird. I agree, wheat is top tier. But since I can’t have it, homemade gluten free goods is 100% the way to go. Does is taste the same as its wheat counterparts? No, but at least the homemade stuff is fucking delicious.
I in no way fault anyone if they can’t handle it, and I’m being a bit facetious. But I don’t get why anyone would choose it like it’s some healthy option. I hate low fat or low calorie anything, but at least I understand the motivation there.
