So many a year ago, I would tell people I was a gamer, and they all assumed video games when I meant role-playing games. Made me a touch upset. Now I see this happening in video game culture too, and I just have a smile of justification while sitting in my room of unread ttrpg books.
I definitely agree here. But if you want to better learn how the system works, I suggest getting a cheap used laptop and just hammer at installing arch using the install guide, not the installer tool. The tool is nice and all, but you still need to know what is going on under the hood and to understand most of it.
I’m looking to start a small media and streaming service, and the technical stuff I know. I’m looking for small business owners who can give help and advice for new business owners like me who don’t have the knowledge to RUN the business.
It started conversations, but then they all stopped when arrests were made. Now if more people threw pies all the time, and did so anonymously, and at more targets, we might have a chance to change things. We can’t just let one person take a stand and then take the fall while asking if it meant anything. It means something when the example is followed.
I was rather excited when I heard about the reboots. And for the most part, I did enjoy the different takes on things. But I couldn’t stand how small they made the galaxy. Few hours to get to Vulcan, a transwarp system that sent a man to Klingon space in a matter of days. No scale at all. But it took me years to watch the third one, and didn’t like it at all.
It can also be the same reason the carpet patterns in casinos is a bit off, designed to irritate slightly so your head stays up and you focus on the stores more.
I have seen plenty of comments here trying to make Gabe out to be an ultra bad capitalist evil villain because he owns this company that, as far as I’m aware, pays it’s employees. And most of those arguments are around the fact that it’s a mega yacht company. All sounding like people shouldn’t have unnecessary luxuries. If we went down that route, nobody needs video games, nobody needs music recordings, movies or tv shows, nobody needs clothing that expresses themselves, we all should only have the basic necessary tools of work and the most utilitarian of clothing and homes. Food only to sustain, not enjoy. Tell me I’m wrong.
I won’t disagree that some people don’t need mega yachts, but I feel that having this company, maybe he could work on building better floating housing systems. Or maybe he is employing people and giving them good paychecks for working on these yachts.
Is it me, or can anybody else tell from the tone where the guy was jerking while writing the review?

I have ADHD. In most of my formative years, I was on Ritalin and it wrecked my mental health. In high school, I pulled myself off it and my school grades tanked. I regret not finding an alternative other than “Caffeine makes me think somewhat right.”
I would watch that. I loved that show for the first few seasons.
The problem with the reboot wasn’t that it was bad or didn’t follow storylines, was that it was made for a different audience than the original show and/or comics and then forgot to tell that old audience. Watching it from the outside, it was hilarious and well written.
I have a vim setup with plenty of plugins that honestly, I don’t know if I need anymore.
In other words, management knows your job is bullshit and that is the exact reason for your job.

After reading what I wrote, I do admit I wasn’t saying the exact question I get annoyed with. It’s when I am asked what brought me to apply specifically to that company. And it’s rather difficult to come up with a better answer than the truth of I have 40 applications this week alone, you were one of them.
Any hobby that makes you smell like you filled your pants is one that needs to be re-evaluated.
