I had a friend give me an invitation to a political lunch once. Upon further reading, it entitled me to pay $600 for a plate of food, and the opportunity to listen to some dickhead speak. What a bargain! Still, not having $600 available for such a privilege, I ended up eating lunch at home for the cost of groceries … and muttering to myself.

Some abuelas hate the gays and trans

And when MAGA says “don’t worry we just want to get rid of those criminal immigrants, you know the ones”, some naive as fuck immigrants are like “oh yeah I know who you’re talking about, I hate those guys too”, not realizing it’s a blanket “all of you” thing.

I used to know this Columbian woman. Absolutely said foul shit about Mexican people, worse than your average white racist. Thought she was better and cleaner than them. These sorts think they’re in good company with MAGA.

People say America has a racism problem, and sure, we do, but people are strangely and humorously ignorant about how racist the rest of the world is. They’re next level, and they don’t even acknowledge it’s bad. They’re just like “no wait this isn’t racism, you don’t understand, those people are just bad and dirty and steal”.

“You have been deemed rich/important enough that we’ll allow you to bribe us”

Let’s be honest, that’s what this is. It’s rich people paying money to talk to those with political power. It’s a method of ensuring that those with political power can get a crapload of money in exchange for “listening to the grievances” of a select few. It’s an arrangement for connecting people with power and money more closely, while excluding the common masses from the rooms where decisions are made. It’s… corruption.

thats probably why these flyers are mailed in affluent communities. they already got the poors/plebs by the ropes, since they know people already support them anyways.

Oh, assumed that’s what they paid you to sit and tolerate an hour with this couch fucking scumbag.

Would wait outside this thing and sell extended warranties at ridiculous prices. It’s ripe with people that are both rich and really dumb.

If i had 50k right now my life would be so much better and be able to pay off most of my debts that make me stressed everyday and be able to fix up our house. I would be set for years because of this. This is throw away money for these people to spend 3 hours eating dinner… its so frustrating.

Frustrating… I see this word everywhere to describe what, for me, is a level of rage and focused hatred that there are literally no words for, in any language I know.

Why the fuck are we doing this? Why are we not GORGING OURSELVES on their FLESH?!?!

I’m surprised more people aren’t actively wasting the time of the resources on the other side of that email address.

Anti spam tools are pretty damn good nowadays, and then you have things like “focused inbox” features on top of that. Plus all the laws about simple unsubscribe options.

Not sure there’s much dry brush to catch on that front.

I have seen some spam filters that use ai nowadays. That’s a bad idea because the sender could use prompt injections…
