I’m cis male and play as female in most cases. I like to believe it’s a smaller hitbox. But also I’d rather stare at her ass in 3rd person than a guys ass. And if it’s multiplayer other players give me things more easily 😂
Eh the female characters usually have worse facial hair choices and I want my avatar to have thick, luscious facial hair regardless of sex. See we’re circus folk… (I actually wonder how untrue this statement is)
Playing a nicer looking or sounding character is often nicer. Some games have different events for different choices, so I’ll probably play both at some point (e.g. Mass Effect, Fallout). In some games it makes no difference at all since your character looks like dried meat, a suit of armor, or isn’t on screen at all (Soulsbornes, FPS, RTS etc). And some games have fixed characters (e.g. Assassin’s Creed, Horizon, Metal Gear). It’s all good.

Yes. It’s not me on the screen, it’s a character.
