So the other day I asked what the Republican-lite supporters excuse for Democrats once again saving Republicans and then also voting to condemn socialism and now this.

So what’s the excuse du jour for supporting fascism? Literally voting to punish speech here, what’s the excuse?

      I mean, don’t vote for them…

But not voting for anyone else with a D by their name because of these asshats, is just going to let these asshats take over the party.

Most Americans don’t get to vote in any election that has any of them on a ballot.

I’m guessing it’s not about fascist ideology, and more about those AIPAC paid vacations they’ve already packed their luggage for. Doesn’t change that they are a piece of shit, only if they have corn or peanuts.

Okay - I just made myself gag.

So people who refused to get up and leave (vote) when the Nazis barged in and took their seat at the table are just as culpable then.

          Good to know.

Ah, I see you choose to be obtuse and dense as a fruit cake.

You mean the people who refused to get up and leave and then voted for fascism are just as culpable? Yes.

You mean a leadership that will do fuck all to punish these Republican-lite assholes for literally voting for Nazi policies are just as culpable. Yes.

The other members who left the table and voted no on this issue. No. For now.

I mean, mine’s up there and in general most hate that but he’s still far better than a Republican in his spot.

Hopefully next time we have a primary challenger worth voting for because his challenger voted for trump. Yeah…

So I’ll put up with him for another two years because while his Israel bullshit sucks it’s the better of the two options in almost any other issue on the table.

And when does the whole “still better than nothing” stop being a viable option when you’re still marching toward fascism with no meaningful resistance from the supposed opposition?

Honestly it’s past time to stop voting for these Republican-lite, fascist enablers.

And vote for whom? Republicans LOVE third party candidates because they tend to take more votes from democratic candidates. Run as an independent that is against the state of Israel and AIPAC will come in and fire over 30mil to your opponent and likely end your campaign in most states.

We do see more people running as or adjacent to the DSA so we will see how it turns out.

That’s where you’d have to have a coordinated protest vote to be able to focus the message of why you’re doing the protest vote, otherwise it’s an exercise in futility and just the Republican won.

As much as I disagree with the Michigan Abandon voters at the time, still do to a degree mostly due to the whining afterwards, that focused, poignant, abstained really had a outside impact even when overall it did nothing to the overall state election. I think it’s something that really did push progressives forward in this latest primary and why that 30 million feel flat.

I’ll keep looking forward to the next batch of primaries and how progressives and the DSA move forward.

The truly moronic response is the dumbass Republican-lite members who continue to vote the same repeat fascist enabling assholes in the Democratic primary, forcing the rest of us to choose between two fucking fascist every god damn November.

No thanks, tired of your Republican-lite bullshit than keeps slow walking us right into fascism. I’d much rather see a good coordinated protest vote like those Abandon voters in Michigan.

It’s never not a viable option. Voting takes a whole five minutes. There’s literally no excuse to not participate and minimize damage. Whether you decide to do more after that is what this should influence, not whether you vote. If you choose to not vote then you’re just a useful idiot.

Abstaining is propaganda pushed by Republicans. I don’t know if you actually believe the message you’re pushing or if you just bought the bullshit they sold you, but if you actually believe it then you’re only harming your own cause. There’s a reason this message gets spread so much, and it’s because it’s paid for. The only thing abstaining does is makes you feel superior while, in reality, you accomplish nothing.

And you’re the useful idiot that Republican-lite love. Vote blue no matter who, never think about changing the status quo, never hold them accountable for their actions. Just keep on swimming. They love their moderate do nothing useful idiots.

And abstaining from voting as a form of protest is a time honored tradition. But sure go ahead and provide proof that Republicans are pushing abstaining from voting. They’re pushing propaganda about the security of voting to enact laws curtailing the right to vote, plenty of evidence for that. Honestly, you sound like conspiracy theory Republican with your bought and paid message speil, going to blame it on George Soros next?

As far as you state abstaining/protest voting does nothing, I believe it does depending on how it’s done. We’ve certainly seen how it has changed politics with Ross Perot and how it lead to MAGA. We’ve seen how it affected things recently with Dearborn abandon voters and how their stance has accelerated saying fuck AIPAC.

No thanks to your moderate paradise of slow walking fascism, I’ll consider acceleration and live with the consequences sooner rather than later.

There it is! The desperate bullshit of the Republican-lite. It’s better to slowly get to the fascist state than quickly getting to the fascist state. It’s not about the voting for fascism, it’s about the journey. And look, there’s that whole weak-ass whataboutism I’ve come to know and love, the buttery males of the moderate democrat that MLK warned us about.

We’re not talking about the inconsequential bullshit, performative condemning socialism and who gives two fucks about Republicans, who are fascist, didn’t condemn fascism. Scorpions were scorping, oh noes! We’re talking about 33 god damn horrible Republican-lite assholes that literally voted for letting the government stifling free speech they don’t like, a hall mark of a fascist regime.

        Absolutely pathetic.

Assuming these chuckle fucks don’t vote to get rid of elections in there effort to be bipartisan by literally voting for fascism.
