Young men swung toward trump in 2024.
I think young men are idiots. Probably much the same reason as any republican might not vote for trump in the future. They’re fine with, or at least were willing to overlook, everything trump did up until it cost them personally. Energy prices and the rapidly rising cost of goods. If trump somehow fixed those two things you can bet these people would cruise along just fine with ICE shooting people, trump bombing schools, and killing people in boats on the ocean.

I think you are right. There is a certain type of person that does not give a fuck if others are being harmed ( and many actively cheer that on, because, well, they are demented ) but the minute they are feeling the squeeze, that’s when they wake up.
If prices were to suddenly be cut dramatically, they’d probably be just fine with all the other crazy shit.
The certain type of person you describe is called a “conservative”.
