    mcedit came before your “MCEdit”.

same as bedrock linux came before bedrock version of minecraft for linux.

minecraft ((at least) twice) further confounded searches for the already obscure foss tools.

    mc = midnight commander.

mcedit = midnight commander’s inbuilt text editor.

The groceries that come out of the plastic shopping bag?

They’re the family of the plastic shopping bag?

So when we’re in the shop, filling the bag, are we impregnating the bag, and the pregnancy lasts for the duration of the journey home, and a typical healthy birth involves removing the groceries from the bag, and putting them in the cupboard and fridge and freezer and fruit-bowl etc.

Then sometimes there’s a more difficult pregnancy and labour… like whatever’s going on there… up tree branches!? And still there are a family of groceries in there?

    … I think I should stop over-thinking this.

I think you have the skill to take this further, and make it interactive, clickable, explorable, even wiki’fied (or at least git’ified) to allow others to contribute too.

    I noticed some were missing.

    • BedrockLinux
    • CRUX
    • SLAX
    • Tin Hat
    • Hannah Montana
    • KISS
    • Carbs
    • Exherbo
    • … Okay, I’ll not exhaust this list with dozens more. ;)

Well done for including as many as did already. Was joyous seeing Slitaz made the lislt. :) A fave of the small distros.

Which text editor do you use?

    • Emacs mostly
    • sometimes fin for configs and some other small file tweaks and when developing/testing fin,
    • sometimes mcedit just because it’s an awesome under sung hero of easy tui text editors. … beats nano imo.
    • sometimes leafpad, like when i need some intermediary between things that are being stubborn to paste between
    • rare neovim, like when i’m trying to learn neovim, or trying something that only neovim has
    • rare nano… there are probably still times…
    • once kate to see what it was like, I liked it, then I added the features I liked to emacs.

  • Oh. I didn’t even notice the Dr Pepper. … Also… I did not know there was any correlation between Dr Pepper and gentoo. I stopped my Dr Pepper addiction 5 years before I used gentoo. … I was on 4L a day for months, and didn’t realise I had a problem until I drank 9L in 24hr.

+1 for “-1 for non Lenovo machine”. [… unless it’s like tuxedo or system76 or something like that or some pure custom job on a different architecture]

  • Removes [your first step to be able to remedy a problem] your awareness of what’s going on around you in the real world. [Many people feel very unnerved by it because of this aspect.]

… I was going to share a link here to whatever first video I found of any of the many videos of thieves sneaking into people’s homes while they’re oblivious on VR, but someone has created a VR game called thief sneak, where the wearer of VR can play a thief sneaking into people’s homes, making it too hard to find the videos of that really happening. The potential for irony now, seems obvious…

Anyhoo, beyond that flooding-the-zone, plenty else goes wrong, born of that aspect, and more. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=VR+fails
