It’s definitely not the joke, but you can’t know that it wasn’t an intentional part of the joke being made
I think having the incorrect date for Mario makes it be more funnier

I think it is an important part of the joke, because it reinforces that no other types of games exist in this guys mind
Grateful for you both bc I did not catch that part of the joke lol

Both are actual quotes about hedonism. The customer has the wrong idea, while squidward is a “true” hedonist

4·12 days agoThe strongest response is usually calm, dismissive, and confident. You want them to look like they’re seeking attention while you look completely unfazed.
A few styles:
- Cold: “If that’s what you’re here for, you’ll have to do better than that.”
- Dismissive: “You’re confusing my patience with vulnerability.”
- Cutting: “That’s an embarrassingly transparent attempt to get a reaction.”
- Confident: “You can try. I’m not particularly impressed by threats from strangers.”
- Very dry: “Noted. I’ll try to survive the ordeal.”
- Boundary-setting: “You’re welcome to disagree with me. Harassment is a different matter.”
The one I’d choose for maximum “don’t fuck with me” energy without “sounding like a tryhard”:
“You’re confusing my patience with vulnerability.”
It makes you sound controlled rather than angry—which is generally much more intimidating than trying to out-insult them.

4·27 days agoI’ve used caffeine “medicinally” for over a year now. I start with a microdose until it’s not effective, then increase the dosage weekly until I’m at more than 1.5 cups of coffee daily, then I drop down to a microdose again to wean myself off while still having a little something for the withdrawals, then stay off it until I “need it” again.
I’m also bipolar, so that does change things for me, but I think it also motivates me to be really intentional about my caffeine intake so I don’t end up in the ‘madness’ stage you described.
I’m also self-employed and only work 20hrs per week, so I have the privilege of taking the recovery time I need because I can just put a pause on the “extra stuff”, which I realize most people don’t have the option of doing.
I think if you can be intentional about it, it can be worth it, especially if you can be so intentional about it as to not need a recovery period

2·29 days agoI think I read something about that but with red cars and tickets. The question though was are red car drivers more likely to speed/drive wrecklessly, or just more likely to get noticed doing it and ticketed?
